Kick off the season with Kansas City’s premier triathlon event. The Kansas City Triathlon offers Olympic, Sprint and Relay Triathlon distances as well as Olympic and Sprint Duathlon options.

• Elite Olympic Triathlon - 1500m Swim, 40K Bike, 10K Run (view Elite requirements here)

• Olympic Triathlon - 1500m Swim, 40K Bike, 10K Run

• Olympic Duathlon - 5K Run, 40K Bike, 10K Run

• Sprint Triathlon - 500m Swim, 20K Bike, 5K Run

• Sprint Duathlon - 2.5K Run, 20K Bike, 5K Run

As of Wednesday May 8th, the water temperature is expected to be 70-74 degrees at the marina. This falls within the neutral swim condition range for both triathlon distances according to the USAT Recommendations for Multisport Age-Group Swim Segments. We will continue to monitor with temperature readings and update participants accordingly.

Given the current temperature, it is expected that wet suits will be allowed and will not impact eligibility for awards
